Whitney, Ball help Villanova rout Towson 49-7

TOWSON, Md. (AP) Chris Whitney threw for two touchdowns and caught a scoring pass from Matt Szczur, leading Villanova to a 49-7 rout of Towson on Saturday.

The Wildcats (9-1, 6-1 Colonial Athletic Association) scored touchdowns on their first five drives en route to their fourth straight victory. Aaron Ball ran for two touchdowns as Villanova rolled up 430 yards of total offense.

Towson (2-8, 1-6) lost its fifth straight game. (MORE)
